Evergreen Aussie rock icons Cold Chisel are bringing their One Night Stand tour to Hope Estate in December.
Their tour includes the final performances at Sydney Entertainment Centre before it closes, a mini-concert at the NRL Grand Final and also a headline show at Hanging Rock.
"In March we played a homecoming show in Adelaide to 35,000 people," singer Jimmy Barnes said.
"Then when we announced these two shows in Sydney the reaction was ballistic.
"The demand blew our minds, suggesting that it was time for us to get back out there."
Cold Chisel's 2011 reformation tour, Light the Nitro, saw the enduring rockers sell 285,000 tickets around the country.
Now the line-up of Barnes, guitarist Ian Moss, keyboardist Don Walker, bassist Phil Small and drummer Charlie Drayton will return to the road.
Their timeless songbook is indelibly marked on Australian culture, with tracks like Cheap Wine, Choir Girl, When The War Is Over, Flame Trees, Bow River, Saturday Night and Khe Sanh staples on Australian radio.
"We love playing together," Moss said.
"We've come to realise that there's a certain magic and chemistry in Cold Chisel that we don't get anywhere else and it makes a special connection with Australian audiences.
"We can't wait to make that connection once again on our One Night Stand tour.
"See you there!"
Cold Chisel will be supported by The Living End at their Hope Estate concert on Saturday, December 12.
Members of the band’s mailing list will get exclusive first access to the best tickets for all shows on the One Night Stand tour.
