Organisers of this year’s Maitland Caravan, Camping, 4WD, Fish and Boat Show say the event was a success, despite wet weather in the Hunter.
More than 250 exhibitors gathered at the showground on Friday, Saturday and Sunday to display the latest in outdoor leisure equipment.
Rural Scene Promotions owner Loretta Payne said attendance figures had not been finalised as of Sunday afternoon, but numbers were expected to be slightly down from last year because of the wet weather.
“It’s been a great show, obviously the weather has dampened things a tad but it has still been a wonderful roll out,” she said.
“A lot of product has been sold, which is great, and there have been a lot of community groups involved in the event to raise money for different local community initiatives that they sponsor.”
Ms Payne said feedback from exhibitors had been positive.
“The valley has done it fairly tough over the last few months so I think they [exhibitors] were probably looking forward to this.
“The valley has always supported this show and has been very loyal.”
