Wilson will tackle the affirmative argument, that youth is wasted on the young, with Maitland veterinarian Ian Gollan and Maitland Regional Art Gallery deputy director Brigette Uren.
Leader of the opposition, arguing that youth is not wasted on the young, is actor, director, radio commentator, producer and festival director Marinos, who will take the reins with relationship coach Tara Whitewood and Mercury sports journalist Josh Callinan.
The great debate will be held at Hunter Valley Grammar School on Saturday, August 8.
ABC News broadcast journalist Dan Cox will keep the debate under control throughout the night.
Tickets are $75 each, at tables of 10, which includes a light two-course meal, entertainment and opportunities to win prizes.
Proceeds from the event will support a creative arts program to fit-out a venue and buy resources to provide art and performance opportunities for people with a disability or disadvantage in our community.
Tickets can be bought by phoning the Mai-Wel events team on 4932 8599 or via the Mai-Wel website at www.maiwel.com.au
