Established and emerging artists and designers are invited to join a line-up of talented stall holders from 9am until 3pm.
“The first Olive Tree at the gallery was well received by locals and visitors to Maitland, who came to enjoy the stalls on display and the added attraction of the regional gallery,” organiser Justine Gaudry said.
Olive Tree at MRAG is a highly curated market with limited positions available.
Interested textile artists, painters, illustrators, print makers, photographers, ceramicists, sculptors, jewellers, makers of women’s and men’s fashion, homewares designers and makers of all things creative are encouraged to apply.

The Olive Tree Market was established in 2008 and is a leading contemporary handmade art and design market in Newcastle and the Hunter Valley.
It showcases the work of the region’s most talented artists, designers and gourmet food producers.
Visitors to The Olive Tree Market at Maitland will be able to wander among vibrant eclectic stalls, meet the artists and discover work from the hands of the makers.
Enjoy great food, take part in artist run workshops, relax to the sounds of local musicians and spend time exploring the art gallery.
Markets will also be held in Maitland on September 26 from 9am until 3pm and a Christmas twilight market on November 28 from 4pm until 8pm.
