The last-placed Mustangs face the Hills Hornets on Saturday night and the Penrith Panthers the following day after successive losses to Sydney, Newcastle, Manly Warringah and twice to Sutherland.
Maitland (4-12) have little more than pride to play for with little no chance of making the play-offs with four matches remaining in the regular season.
The Mustangs will attempt to finish a tough season on a winning note against both Hills and Penrith this weekend followed by a further two away games against Norths (July 11) and local rivals Newcastle (July 18) in the last round.
In previous matches against Hills and Penrith in 2015 the Mustangs have been defeated 71-67 and 83-68 respectively.
Tip-off times are 6.30pm on Saturday and 2.30pm on Sunday.
