An internal review of the Keinbah Trial Track has found no evidence of a mass greyhound grave amid heightened industry scrutiny.

Skeletal remains were found on the property which triggered a police investigation in April which Greyhound Racing NSW responded to with its internal inquiry.
GRNSW concluded this review on Friday when it released a report that dismissed any need to excavate the track or penalise members.
“GRNSW recognises other regulatory and law enforcement agencies have an important role to play in responding to allegations of animal cruelty and potentially criminal conduct within the greyhound racing industry and in the community at large,” GRNSW interim CEO Paul Newson said.
“GRNSW referred the allegations of animal cruelty at the Keinbah trial track to NSW Police, RSPCA NSW, and the Special Commission of Inquiry into the Greyhound Racing Industry in NSW and will continue to provide information relating to suspected misconduct in the sport for potential further action.”
GRNSW conducted a two-day hearing at Cessnock Racecourse closed to the media where stewards heard from 14 industry members.
While the panel said it identified potential breaches of its rules it stipulated that those were not cases that related to Keinbah.
The panel said there was no evidence to support previous claims that animals were mistreated, subject to any inappropriate conduct or behaviour (including conduct or behaviour in breach of the Rules or of animal welfare laws) at the Keinbah Trial Track.
The panel therefore determined that there was no basis for GRNSW to excavate the Keinbah Trial Track or conduct any further inquiries or investigations into matters related to the properties.
