Maitland Mustangs forward Mitch Rueter has been named in the Basketball NSW Waratah Championship League all-star five for 2015.

The announcement was made in the lead up to the finals weekend at Sutherland with Rueter getting the nod once more for his efforts in the state-wide competition.
Rueter scored 406 points this season at an average of 21.4 for his 19
matches – this included a competition-high 81.2 per cent success rate from the free-throw line.
The 2012 MVP was joined in the men’s team by Norths Bears forward Erik Dorbek, Manly Warringah Sea Eagles guard Steven White and Bankstown Bruins pair Mirko Deric and Alex Opacic
Players are selected based on votes by coaches and captains of each team, but they can not nominate their own club.
The Mustangs were also represented in the women’s youth all-star team with Emily Keith acknowledge for her performances this year.
Keith scored 214 points and averaged 13.4 in her 16 matches this season.
In results from the play-offs the Mustangs’ women’s division one side were beaten 78-55 by minor premiers the Newcastle Hunters in Saturday’s semi-final.
The Mustangs were blown away by Newcastle in the early stages and trailed by 15 at the first quarter but they fought back to be down 34-25 at the main break.
The Hunters then broke away in the third, outscoring Maitland 28-15, before the Mustangs rallied in the last.
