Fred Harvey Oval was the venue for the annual Maitland Zone Athletics Carnival on Friday with participants coming from across the district.
Bolwarra, Rutherford, Telarah, East Maitland, Ashtonfield, Paterson and Maitland public schools were among those to take part.
Successful athletes will advance to the Hunter PSSA Track and Field Championships at Glendale on August 28.
