All 56 bulls offered were sold topping at $32,000 to average $7,340. The top selling bull Knowla Jimmy Bartel J68 is in the top 1per cent of the Angus breed for his performance data, was secured by Fernleigh Enterprises, Ellerston and weighed 890kgs at 24 months of age. Fernleigh also purchased another bull for $13,000.
The second top seller at $18,000 was purchased by Chris Watsoon, Kimbriki Angus, Kimbriki for the 16 month old Knowla Katich K31
For the second year in a row Barry Henderson, “Skibo Downs” Gloucester purchased four bulls. With this years selection topping at $7,500 for Knowla Just a Dash J134, to average at $6,375.
Repeat clients again were active on the day, including Robert and Robyn Waugh, Bellingen purchasing two bulls at a top of $10,000.
Ken andKelly Harvey, Markewell paid $13,000 for their choice Knowla Jonah Lomu J93, also purchasing Knowla Joker J104 for $8,000.
Gresford beef producers Josh Evans, "Summer Hill" and Rod Kater, Bonnington Beef paying $10,000 and $8,000 respectively for their choices.
New clients, Phillip Flemming, Waranulla and Mackaway Pastoral Co, Walcha both purchasing three bulls. Steven Garland, Musswellbrook purchased Knowla Johnny Sutton J56 for $10,000. Lewis Dorney, Markwell purchased two bulls at a top of $7,000
The draft of un-joined Angus yearling heifers offered on the day saw all 89 sell to average $1,110
