It was a tough day for the Greta Branxton Colts with all four grades bowing out of the Group 21 competition in front of a home crowd.

The Colts first, reserve, under 18s and women’s league tag sides all lost preliminary final fixtures at Greta Central Oval on Sunday.
In the top grade, the defending champions lost a grand final replay to the Denman Devils, going down 40-10 in a one-sided affair.
Jake Moore and Harrison Goodyear both scored tries for the hosts and Joby Patten landed one conversion, but it wasn’t enough to stop the Devils.
For the visitors, Jackson Ball, Hamish Wolfgang, Paula Dinauvolu, Iliesa Cama, Luke Hasselmann, Gary McKeon, Joel Pyne and Trent Walker all managed four pointers while Andrew Nicholls and Hasselmann shared the goal kicking duties.
In reserve grade, the Colts were defeated 34-18 by the Scone Thoroughbreds with a double scored by Greta Branxton’s Jackson Cassidy.
In the under 18s’ do-or-die encounter, Zac Leonard crossed the stripe twice but the Colts were beaten 30-20 by the Muswellbrook Rams.
And in the women’s league tag Greta Branxton were accounted for by Muswellbrook in a close affair.
Katie Sampford and Natasha Colvin scored tries for the Colts but they fell 16-10 to the Rams.
Group 21 deciders will be held at Scone on Sunday.
