The cars including Ferraris, Aston Martins, Porches and GTRs, which travelled through the region as part of the Bullrush Rally for children’s charity the Starlight Children’s Foundation.
“This is the first year for the Bullrush,” event sponsor Nick
Hooper from business Seven Friday said.
“It really is a bunch of like-minded guys who enjoy the open road.”
There were 23 of the luxury cars in the rally, which started on the Gold Coast on September 2 and will finish on September 5 in Melbourne.
Most of the drivers are business owners with a passion for nice cars and bit of cash to splash around.
The event was described as a lifestyle rally and the buy-in was almost $3000 per vehicle.
It was not all glamour though, with Mr Hopper wiping bugs off the windscreen of his Ferrari when the Mercury called.
The rally group stayed at Chateau Elan at the Vintage on Wednesday night.
“The Hunter Valley is just beautiful,” he said.
“Where we are is perfect and the weather is beautiful.”
The rally was due in to Sydney on Thursday evening, where the drivers will get a chance to do laps on the south track of Sydney Motorsport Park at Eastern Creek.
“It is very special to see 23 of those cars all driving together,” Mr Hooper said.
