The selection of brewers confirmed for this year’s festival is highlighted by a local contingent including Hunter Beer Co, Murray’s Craft Brewing Co, Hope Brew House and Maitland’s Underground Craft Brewery. All of the brewers will bring with them a unique selection of handcrafted beers that will add to the more than 50 beers on offer.
Underground Craft Brewery in Aberglasslyn will be making its first appearance at Bitter and Twisted with owner Stuart Duff spruiking the craft beer that he makes in the backyard of his home. Veterans Hunter Beer Co, Murrary’s Craft Brewing Co and Hope Brew House will bring their array of craft beers that cover all bases.
Maitland City Council events co-ordinator Adam Franks said it was great to have a selection of local brewers on board for Bitter and Twisted.
“They will of course bring along all of their favourite brews to the festival, and in past years they have also brought something a little more twisted, so we are looking forward to that.”
Other brewers taking part this year include Four Pines Brewing Company, Dad and Dave’s Brewing, Grand Ridge Brewery, Normad Brewing Co, Six String Brewing Company, Rocks Brewing Co and Young Henry’s Brewing Company and many others.
“What continues to make Bitter and Twisted a success is the selection of craft beers and brewers, which has capitalised on the growing popularity of the craft beer scene, coupled with live music set behind the walls of Maitland Gaol,” Mr Franks said.
