A man has been charged with kidnapping and other offences following a domestic-related incident at Cessnock.

Aman forced entry to a home on Maitland Road and confronted a family member, a 77-year-old woman, about 8am Friday.
The man allegedly threatened the woman before forcing her into his vehicle and driving to a building in Cessnock.
He fled the scene and the woman wasn’t injured.
Police were alerted and officers from Central Hunter Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene at the home.
Following inquiries, a 48-year-old man was arrested at a home on Harle Street, Abermain, about 2.45pm Friday.
He was taken to Cessnock Police Station where he was charged with aggravated break and enter; common assault; intimidation; damage property with intention to endanger life; and kidnapping.
The man was bail refused to appear at Maitland Bail Court on Saturday, November 28, 2015.
