Maitland men have been asked to make a pledge to challenge behaviours and attitudes that lead to domestic and family violence.
Matt Johnston, a well-known promoter of music events such as the Gum Ball and Dashville Skyline, has made this pledge:
“It’s a tough old over-exposed world these days and life pressures we feel are all too common.
“I pledge to embrace love and compassion more than ever.
“Violence is the weakest approach in any situation and you need to create the change if you want to see it.
“So let’s get behind White Ribbon.”
What changes will you make in your life and how will you influence those around you?
