Council unveiled Meander, its new once-a-year lifestyle magazine this week.
“We are proud to be launching such a comprehensive publication,” council’s city and visitor economy co-ordinator Martin Payne said.
“Meander is a fantastic resource full of ideas about the best ways to explore and enjoy all that our city has to offer.”
The publication will contain a selection of feature articles that highlight local food, coffee and shopping destinations, the city’s flagship events, things to do with kids, and some of the region’s unique locations like Morpeth and Maitland Gaol.
It will be distributed to visitor information centres throughout the region and selected centres across the state, and will also be available to local businesses.
Maitland residents will also receive a copy of the magazine in their letterboxes in the lead up to Christmas.
“We encourage everyone to read through the magazine, you might be inspired to explore a part of Maitland you have never seen or haven’t been to for years,” Mr Payne said.
“Make sure you also hold on to it so you are equipped with an exciting list of activities to share with your friends and family next time they visit Maitland.”
