Police are investigating a report that a teenage girl was approached by an unknown man at Metford on Thursday morning.

About 8.15am the 13-year-old girl was at a bus stop on the corner of Chelmsford and Grevillea Streets, Metford, when she was approached by an unknown man.
Police were told the man exposed himself and spoke to the girl before he ran away down a laneway accessed from Cassia Way.
Officers attached to Central Hunter Local Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries.
As investigations continue, police would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist them.
He is described as being aged in his 40s, of a large build, wearing a black baseball cap, long sleeved blue shirt, fluoro orange vest and blue pants.
