Stockland held the information sessions on Wednesday after a meeting with more than 100 Green Hills retailers on Tuesday.
Work has begun on the $372 million revamp, which will include JB Hi-Fi and David Jones, as well as other stores.
Construction is expected to take about two years.
“We sincerely appreciate the strong community interest and support for this important project, which will bring hundreds of new jobs to the Hunter and ultimately deliver an exceptional retail, dining and entertainment destination for our customers,” centre manager Chris Travers said.
“We enjoyed showcasing our plans for the redevelopment and expansion, and we are absolutely delighted to get underway, following the detailed planning that has gone into this project.
“Our customers and retailers have been particularly interested in the various stages and timings for the redevelopment, the surrounding road upgrades, and changes to car parking and pedestrian access during construction.
“At our information sessions, we also fielded a lot of questions about all of the new retail brands that our redevelopment is attracting to Green Hills.
“As the team gets on with the job of creating an exciting new shopping centre for Maitland, more than twice its current size, we ask for patience and understanding and welcome any further questions to our customer care team.”
