The US couple are staying in Lorn and while it won’t quite be the traditional Sunday night time slot of back home, the Anderson’s will make the most of it on Monday.
“Super Bowl Sunday normally kicks off at 6pm and finishes around 10pm and you have to get up and go to work the next day,” Bob said.
“But we will be able to make a day of it here.”
The NFL fans have planned to watch the final at the nearby Belmore Hotel, which will be a much different affair to what they are used to in the north-east state of Vermont.
“We normally host a Super Bowl party and we decorate the house, have a few drinks and set up a whiteboard with all the players name’s on it,” Heather said.
“We don’t send out any invites but up to 30 people turn up every year – some of them might even rock up there this weekend and not realise we are away.”
And they will be supporting the Peyton Manning-led Denver over the Carolina Panthers after the Broncos eliminated their team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, in the play-offs last month.
Kick-off is 10.30am (ADST).
