It was 2009-2010 when Maitland last held two deciders at home and this Sunday they will get the chance again in John Bull Shield and Second Division, formally Colts, competitions.
Maitland takes on Singleton in the feature game at Robins Oval and meets Dungog in the revised under 21s category at Thornton.
In the John Bull Shield competition it will be the third time in four seasons Maitland and Singleton have clashed in finals with the overall score currently locked at one apiece.
Maitland last claimed the prestigious silverware in 2013-2014 with skipper Josh Callinan, all-rounder Lincoln Mills, opening batsman Ricky Dent and wicketkeeper Tyler Power part of the squad once more.
Aaron Mahony, Michael Wilson, Simon Marshall and Matt Gabriel will have a job to do with the bat.
Mitch Fisher, Chris Archer, Nick Rinkin and Ricky Mace will take the bowling duties.
Jack Bennett was unavailable for the encounter despite top scoring for Maitland a fortnight ago with an unbeaten 77 in a comfortable victory over Newcastle City and Suburban.
This capped off an undefeated 2015-2016 for Maitland after successful outings against Singleton and Cessnock in the earlier rounds before Christmas.
Maitland’s second division campaign has been lead by Karl Bowd and he takes virtually an unchanged line-up into Sunday’s showdown.
Tim Burton comes in for Mitch Budden following a last round win over Newcastle on January 31 confirmed top spot for Maitland after a count back on quotients.
Maitland’s only loss this season came against Dungog in the opening round.
The two-time defending champions have held the RA Dransfield trophy each year bar one since 2007-2008.
Play in both games will start at 10.30am.
In other representative cricket news Will Fort, Brendan Crouch and Mitchell Pinch will join their Bradman Cup winning Central North under-16 team for a match against Sydney’s Green Shield champions Mosman at Allan Border Field.
