The four-year-old mare, which had won seven straight starts in Australia since arriving from New Zealand in November, missed out by 13.6 metres to Have Faith In Me and Lord Zin Zan in the $200,000 feature.
It was a similar story for all of the runners for trainer Shane Tritton and driver Lauren Panella, who relocated from Keinbah to Sydney’s industry headquarters earlier this month.
Easy On The Eye was also third in the group 1 Coca-Cola Amatil Sprint with stablemate Suave Stuey Lombo further back in sixth. Mach Beauty was then fourth in the group 1 Cordina Chicken Farms Sprint.
Those races were won by Beautide and Monifieth respectively.
This Saturday night at Menangle will be the group 2 Robin Dundee Stakes, group 2 Pink Bonnet, group 2 Robert Fitzpatrick Memorial and the group 3 Brian Hancock Cup.
The Miracle Mile will take place the following weekend on February 28. Closer to home and there were three doubles at Newcastle International Paceway on Friday night.
Louth Park’s Darren Elder struck first with Paintmeacanvas and Days End.
The Clayton Harmey-Josh Osborn combination then succeeded with Soynwasabi and Kardashiancrusader.
Hunter visitor Kerry-Ann Turner then finished off with salutes on board Dark Energy and Black Warrior in back-to-back events.
