The Chisholm estate welcomed its first residents 18 months after bulldozers turned the first sod on the new 400-lot community.
Investa Land is the developer behind the $90 million master-planned residential estate.
According to Investa, the Chisholm estate is proving popular with locals, with most of the land in stages one and two sold to existing residents of Maitland.
“The fact that Harvest will only have around 400 lots was important to us,” Ms Moore said.
“It won’t be one of those never-ending estates where the homes are really close together.
“Plus the lots at Harvest are larger than most other estates in the area.”
The couple wanted to build a home close to Maitland’s Green Hills Shopping Centre and the new Maitland hospital.
They also wanted space and are considering buying a second lot for their pet pooches.
“We have two dogs so the extra space would be great for them,” she said.
According to Nathan Huon, Investa Land project director NSW, Harvest has been labelled a success.
“More than 116 purchasers of land will soon call Harvest home,” Mr Huon said.
On completion, all lots will be fully serviced for gas, electricity, water and connection to the NBN.
