Forty, as he is more affectionately known, made 40 in the decider after posting 73 in the semi to help NSW clinch the School Sport Australia Under-15 Championships in Brisbane on the weekend.
The Maitland Grossmann High School student opened the batting for the baby Blues in Sunday’s showdown and scored at almost a run a ball as his team chased down the 136 required for victory losing just four wickets.
The triumph over Victoria Metro at Brisbane Grammar came two days after a seven-wicket semi-final success against Western Australia at Maroochydore.
Fort top scored with a half-century as NSW reached 3-154 from 32 overs.
Last month Fort helped the Hunter open side win the NSW CHS Championships in Sydney and in January he was part of the Central North under-16 squad that took out the Bradman Cup in Newcastle.
He returns to Maitland this weekend to play junior and senior finals with Northern Suburbs.
