People of all ages are invited to attend a practice night and see if they are interested in becoming a part of the choir.
Choir treasurer Jenny Dimmock said it is enriching to be a part of the choir, with the group’s motto being "We don't sing because we're happy - we're happy because we sing.”
She said members do not have to be able to read music, and that most just use the music as a guide.
The choir is currently re-learning favourite songs sung in the past for the choir's 30th anniversary concert later this year.
Songs currently being sung include Colours of the Wind, Tears in Heaven, You’ll Never Walk Alone, Razzle Dazzle and Christmas songs towards the end of the year.
The group performs throughout the year at community events such as Australia Day, Anzac Day and Carols by Candlelight and also sing at nursing homes, private functions, shopping centres and hold a concert every second year.
The choir meets to practice on Tuesday evenings from 7pm to 9pm at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Brunswick Street, East Maitland.
