Ms Bishop appeared with Liberal candidate for Paterson Karen Howard at engineering and manufacturing group Varley in Tomago to discuss the coalition’s plans for small businesses, jobs and growth for the Paterson electorate.
The foreign minister described the visit to Varley Group as the chance to see “one of Australia’s great success stories”.
Ms Bishop confirmed to having a private meeting with Williamtown residents about the contamination issue.
Before Ms Bishop and Ms Howard were at the Varley Group site, they visited Green Hills Shopping Centre.
