The Magpies goal came from a penalty midway through the second half, but was not enough to kick start a comeback against the Eagles.
Playing at home the Magpies went into half-time down 2-0 after goals from Keanu Moore and Daniel McBreen.
Shortly after the Aaron McLoughlin was on target for the Eagles from a free kick.
The Weston Bears remain winless after losing 1-2 to Adamstown Rosebud at Lisle Carr Oval.
The Bears had the better of large slices of the match but were unable to convert their opportunities.
The score was 0-all at half-time, but Rosebud capitalised on a defensive lapse shortly after the break to score their first goal.
Nathan Morris scored from a penalty for the Bears, after Isaac Peek was fouled.
Adamstown hit straight back to score a scrambled goal.
