Corinne Frost took out the volunteer of the year award and Kyllie Tegg won the disability sector employee of the year category.
Songbird Homes, which started out at East Maitland, was named disability service of the year and Signature Gardens Retirement Resort at Aberglasslyn also topped the retirement village of the year category.
Hosted by Toronto’s AgeingLife Network on Friday, July 8, the awards recognised the winners for their contribution to improving the quality of life for older Australians and people with disabilities.
AgeingLife Network managing director, Joseph Dimarco, said all of the winners delivered extraordinary service to their clients and the wider community on a daily basis.
Mr Dimarco said he was proud to celebrate the work of the organisations and individuals in making a difference to the lives of seniors and people with disabilities.
“Our winners excel in their areas of expertise in meeting the challenges of providing high-quality care and support to a growing number of ageing people in our community,” Mr Dimarco said.
Adventist Senior Living at Cooranbong took out three wins in the residential aged care division and integratedliving won three awards in the home care category.
Newcastle District Nursing Service and Five Dock’s Tender Loving Cuisine also picked up awards.
