The Merchant Taylor School is rated as one of the top nine schools in England and was established in 1561.
Together the Merchant Taylor School (455 Years) and the Maitland Rugby Club (139 Years) bring together 594 years of tradition together to play rugby under lights at the home of Maitland rugby.
Merchant Taylor’s rich rugby tradition continues today with 25 students from the school representing their country, along with 12 boys who are a regional level in Wasps and Saracens academies.
The school also provides players to the Lambs, which is the Independent School Barbarians.
The school’s current star is England under-17 scrum-half Will Porter.
The first game kicks off at 5.30pm.
