The 22-teams toughed it out in muddy conditions to vie for the inaugural Kacey Drummond Cup.
Callaghan College at Wallsend triumphed 8-0 over Cessnock’s Mount View in the year 9-10 final.
In the year 7-8 final Heatherbrae-based Hunter River High School overcame Rutherford Technology High School from west Maitland by the same scoreline.
Hunter River and Rutherford now progress to the state challenge Legends Day in Sydney on August 25.
Francis Greenway, Dungog, Newcastle, Waratah, Chatham, St Pius X Adamstown, Gloucester and Toronto high schools also participated in the tournament, which were were 9-a-side with nine minute halves.
Another gala day, non-competitive like the one held in Raymond Terrace last month, is being organised for Maryland on August 31.
An open five-week competition, for under 14s and under 16s, is being set up from November 4.
