This re-enactment group represents in faithful detail, the daily lives of the soldiers and their families of the original 73rd Regiment of Foot.
Not only the redcoat soldiers uniforms, firearms and accoutrements but also their camp, kitchen facilities and traditions.
Visitors to the event will see the soldiers and officers marching, firing and reloading muskets of the era.
They’ll even bring the big guns - cannons.
Family members are also involved in running the regiment 'kitchen' and other duties, reminiscent of the days when families accompanied soldiers on duty.
Visitors are welcome to interact with any of the actors on the day.
Members of this group participated in a re-enactment commemorating the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo last year in Belgium along with 600 other actors from around the world.
The 'original' 73rd Regiment of Foot was actually stationed in Newcastle in 1813 for a period of time.
There will also be a heritage clothing parade, machinery demonstrations, farm animals, cart rides with Harry the Clydesdale and tractors at work.
There will be sheep shearing and working vintage machinery. Guests can enjoy homemade refreshments or bring their own picnic to have on the lawn.
The event opens at Tocal Homestead at 10am and runs until 3pm. Entry for adults is $10 and children are free.
