The Hunter Valley has shone at the KPMG Sydney Royal Wine Show, taking out a total of 106 medals and four trophies at the Show.

Stand out winners from the region include Tyrrell's Vineyards for their VAT1 Semillon which took out the NSW Department of Primary Industries James Busby Perpetual Trophy for Best NSW Wine.
Brokenwood's 2009 Reserve Semillon won two trophies, the David Clarke Memorial Perpetual Trophy for Best Semillon and the Dr Henry John Lindeman Memorial Perpetual Prize for Best Mature White. Best Value White was awarded to De Iuliis Wines for their 2016 Semillon. Silkman Wines, who produced their first vintage in 2013 were awarded a gold medal, and have now won 3 gold medals in the competition.
House of Arras was awarded the KPMG Perennial Trophy for Best Wine of Show and also took out the Thorp Annual Trophy for Best Sparkling White or Rosé, and the Fine Wine Partners Perpetual Trophy for the Best Wine exhibited at all Capital City Royal Wine Shows in the last year.
