King Bill IV, a well-known licensed restaurant on High Street, has remained closed during trading hours this week. A sign in the front window indicates the premises has been classified “inclosed lands under the Inclosed Lands Act” and threatens prosecution against “trespassers”.
Tony Cant Real Estate, listed as the contact point for inquiries, declined to comment on the matter when contacted by Fairfax Media this week. Fairfax Media has contacted the owner of the King Bill IV business, who does not own the premises.
It comes after the business unveiled a major revamp late last year, after damage to the ceiling and walls caused by the April super storm led to a six month closure.
