Tickets to the E Street Band’s February return to Hope Estate officially go on sale on Friday through Ticketmaster. But those hoping to nab a great spot are warned to try early and try often after frustrated fans began venting fury hours after a members’ presale earlier in the week.
Punters seeking tickets to the Hope Estate show took to promoter Frontier Touring’s website to vent after missing out on tickets, or the premium seats they were looking to lock down, in the early access sale.
“Been sitting here, finger on the buttons, great internet speed, cc details already loaded, flights booked, accommodation booked.. sold out in 60 seconds? who to?”, L’rece Morgillo wrote on the promoter’s page.
“Devastated as I’m flying in from Central West Qld to join friends from Sydney and Orange.. all paid for and no tickets. Not fair. And at this stage… not even caring about the cost of tickets!!!”
Frontier Touring acknowledged some issues with the pre-sale were resolved early on but noted that demand for tickets on big tours inevitably led to some disappointments.
Several fans remained unhappy.
Stuart McGrath said there was only a narrow window for early birds to nab what they wanted.
“According to Ticketmaster, you only had 30sec to select front standing GA.. Because they sold out after that,” he posted to Frontier’s page.
General admission tickets at the front of the stage cost more than $250 including fees, with all tickets pushing into three figures.
Some premium Hope Estate packages, which cost nearly $1000 and include dinner and drinks with the concert ticket, are already sold out.
While some tickets were soon offered for sale through on-selling sites, Frontier urged fans to buy only from authorised agencies.
“[Otherwise] you don’t know who you’re buying from, the ticket may be in breach of the terms and conditions set by the original ticketing agency (and therefore cancelled), or the same ticket might have been sold multiple times to different people,” the company said in a statement.
Tickets to the Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band’s Hope Estate show on February 18 2017 go on sale to the general public at midday Friday September 23.
