The challenge will be a lead-up fixture to the Western Suburbs versus City United "Legends" match on Saturday, October 1.
The charity Twenty20 fixture, which is the unofficial season kick-off for Western Suburbs, will once again see Mudd's sons Lincoln and Nathan take charge of the two squads.
Mudd, a life member of Maitland’s senior and junior district cricket associations lost a battle with bowel cancer in 2012.
Both teams are loaded with talented cricketers - almost all of whom had a direct influence from Mudd himself.
The match promises to deliver another fantastic contest, to kick off a very special day of cricket as City United (100th season) and Western Suburbs (70th season) join together to celebrate their milestone seasons.
