The Davidson family, owners of Lorn Butchery, have remained divided throughout the 2016 NRL season.
Wife Gabe is a mad Manly fan, her husband Darren, son Jai and daughter Chloe, die hard Sharks supporters.
“I’m a little outnumbered,” Mrs Davidson said. “Now that Manly hasn’t made the finals I’ve no option but to cheer on Cronulla,” she said.
And she is doing it with great gusto. In fact Mrs Davidson has chipped in to decorate the family’s Belmore Road business in Shark’s colours. The butchery is a sea of blue, black and white balloons and streamers, there are even blue and black snags.
“When Darren was growing up he started following the Sharks. He was only about 15 and now our son, who has turned 15, is following the team,” Mrs Davidson said. “Darren’s family go for the Bulldogs and just to stir the pot a little I’ve declared myself a Manly supporter becasue everyone hates Manly,” she said.
