For many of the youngsters it was the first chance of organised cricket with Western Suburbs Cricket Club launching their popular Milo Cricket program for this season.
It was a first time for many of the older children in the Kookaburra Cricket competition with Wests and Raymond Terrace under-11s opening their season.
