Hope4Cure will host a sophisticated, French-style garden party to raise money for ovarian cancer in memory of a lost friend.
“The one thing Trish Paul wanted as she battled Stage IV ovarian cancer was to support other Hunter women,” the Hope4Cure invitation reads.
“Our vision is simple, to honour Trish's wish to support local women and their families experiencing ovarian and gynaecological cancers.
“Hope4Cure was established in her honour to provide financial assistance to families and health services in the Hunter Region.”
Event sponsor PRD Nationwide’s Rhonda Nyquist says guests will be picked up and coached to the garden, which will be adorned with fog, lasers and thousands of fairy lights.
Live music will play while refreshments, many of which have been donated to the cause, will be provided by Icky Sticky Patisserie, Sprout Newcastle, Tyrrell’s and First Creek Wines.
“We want to support families going through ovarian cancer,” Ms Nyquist said.
“We can’t find a cure, but we can help day-to-day. And it all stays with families in the Hunter.”
Raffles at the event will give away numerous prizes worth thousands of dollars. More info at hope4cure.org.au Tickets cost $150 per person. To reserve, contact PRD Nationwide at 4934 2000.
