The grammar team defeated Ashtonfield Public School in a local derby by 110 runs on Thursday.
It was the first time Ashtonfield had made the semi-finals and their lack of experience showed in the end.
Hunter Valley posted 2/145 from their 25 overs with Harrison Allomes, Oscar Walker and Charley Walker all retiring on 25 and Oscar Stenz finishing on 23 not out.
Olly Palmer, Brayden Whyborn and Jordan Baker top-scored for Ashtonfield with five each as the team finished on 8-35.
Hunter Valley’s Liam Clones finished with the amazing figures of 3-0 narrowly missing out on a hat-trick.
Oscar Walker was next best with the ball with 2-5.
The other grand-final spot will be decided on Monday, when last year’s beaten finalist Clarence Town plays Kurri Kurri Public School at The Pines Oval at Weston.
