The Maitland one-day competition switches to Twenty20 format with double-headers in A-grade at Tenambit Oval, SMR and Schanck Drive.
In Maitland first grade it is day two of the round five fixtures, with all three games intriguingly placed.
Western Suburbs will need quick wickets if they are to force their clash against Kurri Weston into a second innings.
Kurri Weston resume of day two needing 46 runs with six wickets in hand to claim first innings points, however both teams may be tempted to push for an outright result.
Norths hold the upper hand after scoring 6/278 on day one against Thornton Park, but the Thornton batsmen have returned to form with the Gabriels – Peter (97), Matthew (32) and Johathan (51) – all in the run in their last start.
City United will need to make a solid start against Raymond Terrace after Nick Savage dismissed openers Matthew Latham and Karl Bowd in a tricky five-over spell at the end of day one.
Terrace were dismissed for 239 and City resume on 2/10 at Jack Collins Oval on Saturday.
