Maitland Grossmann High School and Maitland High School students were among the cast in this year's Hunter and Coast Schools Spectacular

Maitland students joined their peers from across the region in the Hunter and Coast Schools Spectacular last weekend.

Maitland Grossmann High School and Maitland High School joined students from 24 schools including Kurri Kurri Public School, Kitchener Public School, Ettalong Public School and Cessnock High School.

The students were part of a 5322 cast which included a 2700 strong choir and 2300 dancers. The students performed alongside an 80-piece symphony orchestra and a stage band. 

This year’s event has been dubbed one of the best Schools Spectacular.

“It was an unbelievably massive show and the audiences were thrilled,” executive producer Jane Simmons said.“Every single performer, the incredible teachers and staff who brought it all together at the arena and at school, the students’ parents and all who contributed deserve huge applause.”
