Well you could be in luck, Fairfax Media is giving away a double-pass to the midnight screening of Rogue One at Maitland Reading Cinemas on December 15-16.
Rogue will tell the story of a group of rebel spies on a mission to steal the plans for the Empire’s infamous Death Star.
Last year hundreds of fans, many decked out in impressive costumes, made Maitland Reading Cinema look like a galaxy far, far away for the launch of Star Wars: Force Awakens.
Among them were members of Newcastle’s garrison of the 501st Legion – the certified superfans in full replica stormtrooper armor.
Cinema manager Yvette Cavanagh said it was a tradition for fans to dress up and attend midnight screenings.
“Star Wars has been going on so long it’s a multi-generational film,” she said.
“The older fans remember seeing it, and the younger fans have really embraced it.”
