This year has seen the chamber break from tradition on many levels.
It is rare to be able to book an Olympic legend and we have one who lives right here in Maitland. I can’t wait to hear from Maddie Elliott and learn all about what it takes to be at the top of your game.
- Maitland Business Chamber president Craig McGregor.
We continued with the highly successful lunch meetings during winter, we conducted the first ever Maitland Business Week and for the first time we are breaking away from the afternoon Christmas member drinks to having a Christmas lunch. Tickets are selling fast as members and the business community will come together on Thursday, December 15, for a Christmas lunch with a difference.
This is not a usual chamber meeting and we won’t have an agenda and formal presentations. It will be a lunch to mingle and enjoy the Christmas spirit and enjoy a couple of Christmas drinks with friends (so clear the calendar after the lunch – no meetings in Maitland after 12pm on December 15!)
We don’t have a usual business-style presentation as we have replaced that with a casual conversation with a local legend who will inspire us with stories of Olympic triumph. It is rare to be able to book an Olympic legend and we have one who lives right here in Maitland.
Personally, I can’t wait to hear from Maddie Elliott and learn all about what it takes to be at the top of your game.
Tickets are available from the chamber website http://www.maitlandbusiness.com.au/december16.
With a living sporting legend on the stage the room is sure to be full, which will be fruitful for our charity partner for this event, Darcy’s Homeless Café named after the biggest sporting legend in Maitland’s history.
From the Maitland Chamber to all of the residents and business owners of Maitland, have a safe, fun and fruitful Christmas enjoyed with your loved ones and we look forward to being apart of the growth and success that is coming in 2017.
