Maitland West under-12, 14 and 16 sides travelled to Singleton, while Maitland East played Upper Hunter, with the under-14’s and 16’s at Raymond Terrace and the under 12’s at Maitland.
Singleton won the toss in their under-16’s clash with Maitland West and decided to bat.
Great bowling across the board for Maitland had Singleton all out for 78.
Callum Gabriel had the best figures with 2-13 off five.
Bradley Christensen, Isaac Abela, Jock Vivers, Jackson Spohr, Ethan Gladman and Shannon Threlfo all picked up a wicket each.
Maitland East under-16’s also had a comfortable win, with a great three wicket haul from Sean Gibson.
The away side surpassed the total for the loss of two wickets, thanks to a top score of 39 no from Jacob Page.
Cameron Wynn scored a fantastic half-century for Maitland West in the under-14’s match.
He was well supported by Luke Farthing (32) and Roy Bocking (17) to help Maitland to a total of 8/165 from 50 overs.
Singleton were all out for 79 in reply, with Fynn Milligan picking up an amazing 5-16 from seven overs.
Maitland East under-14’s put up a great total of 7/173 from 50 overs.
Max Farmer (47) top scored, while Lachlan Page (32) also had a great day with the bat.
Maitland’s top field work had Upper Hunter all out for 133 in the 31st over.
Lachlan Page backed up with the ball, taking 3-16 off six and Tallon Gear also played well to achieve 3-11 off five.
Brodie Little had a great innings for Maitland West under-12’s to make 23 no in their first game of the season.
The team made 3/57 from their 20 overs.
In reply, Singleton could only muster 8/41, with Noah Fisher picking up two wickets.
Maitland East scored a great total of 9/199 from 40 overs in the under-12s.
Fantastic field work from Maitland East restricted Upper Hunter to 132.
Maitland junior cricket president Glen Findley said it was a pleasing result for all teams, especially considering the age divisions were split into east and west this year.
