Trappel was particularly delighted with the effort of his bowling attack which bowled Thornton Park out for 138.
City made 174 on a tricky wicket at Thornton No.1 with Thornton bowler Elliott Thompson having a day out claiming 5-18 from his 10 overs.

“The performance in the field was excellent, we really backed up the bowlers with good fielding.
“It’s always good to start back with a win, but I think this one was particularly important and we can build momentum for it and hopefully make the top two.”
Trappel top-scored for City with 66, with Andrew Mullard 22 and Matt Latham 20 also making good contributions in the absence of Anru Kriel and Karl Bowd.
