Clayton Barrett, Cameron Clydsdale, Manny Wade, Matthew Parkinson and Sean Barrett are the joint-owners of Imperial Hospitality Group which took over the High Street pub last week.
The five men bought the drinking establishment and accommodation from the Thomas family, who ran the pub for more than 20 years.
Imperial Hospitality Group general manager Clayton Barrett said they had been looking for a business for a while, and the pub seemed a good opportunity.
“The business is going really well,” he said. “I’ve always wanted to own and run a pub.”
Mr Barrett said part of the appeal was the location of the hotel.
“With the way The Levee is going you can see a level of interest in the centre of town,” he said. “It’s something positive that we can be a part of.”
While unsure if they are going to change anything yet, Mr Barrett said they hoped to maintain the loyal regulars who visited the hotel.
