Organiser Shey Halcroft said the idea was to normalise breastfeeding and support mums and babies to feed until full-term (older than one year).
Ms Halcroft said she organised the photo shoot to celebrate breastfeeding babies of all ages, shapes and sizes.
The Morpeth mum said she believed Australia was “three steps behind” other countries when it came to reducing the stigma around breastfeeding.
She also hoped the event was a chance for Hunter mothers to network with one another.
The photo shoot and images are free. Photos will be shot in groups and all attendees will receive soft copies of the images via email.
There is a dress requirement, for further details and to register attendance visit the Facebook event page.
