Goode, 16, from Maitland High School, and Baker, 15, from Maitland Grossmann High, are part of the Hunter zone team which is hosting the annual Combined High School championship.
The championship feature 10 zone teams from across the state and begins on Monday and runs through to Thursday.
The first two days of competition will feature Twenty20 games with each team playing four games. Ranking will be decided from those matches for the play-offs on Wednesday and finals on Thursday which will be 50-over games.
Nick Bower, who is co-ordinating the championships, said Maitland Park was the only facility in the state which allowed for all five games to be played on turf wickets at the same venue.
“I urge people to get along and watch some quality cricket,” he said.
