Of the 124 animals the Rutherford shelter had for adoption, 123 animals found new families.
But there was one furry friend left behind after the sale, Molly the five-year-old Mastiff.
The tan and white canine came into the shelter as a stray in early January.
Molly would be best suited to a mature household as she can be a little uncertain of new surroundings.
RSPCA Hunter Region manager Dr Debbie Jaggers said Molly had received a lot of human attention since the sale, being the only one left.
Overall Dr Jaggers said she was extremely happy with how the sale went, with some animals finding homes after more than 150 days in the shelter.
“It was awesome,” she said. “The community support was absolutely fantastic.”
Along with the sale, the shelter also ran an open day on Sunday, with about 50 people turning up for a tour of the vet hospital.
