Maitland Mustangs face top of the table Northern Bears

The Bears have a two-from-two record and the Mustangs have two wins from their three games, including a 16-point win against Central Coast Crusaders in their first home game of the season last Sunday.

US import Tyler Monroe has made a huge impact in his three games for Maitland collecting a double-double in each outing.

Monroe, who stands 203cm, has given the Mustangs a real big-man presence on court and has brought younger teammates into play.

Guards Terrell Turner and Jack Edwards are forging a great combination and contributed 49 points to an offence which has more option with Taiga Cantor, Daniel Millburn and Sam Huggins all in the points on Sunday.

Tip off for the Mustangs Youth Men is at 9am. The champions league men start at 1pm.

The Mustangs women travel to Tamworth on Saturday for their first game of the season.
