Forty years ago eight women started a sewing class.
They took a three year class with teacher Lorna Winstanley and then became a group of long-lasting friendship. Seven members celebrated the milestone at Tarro with a celebratory luncheon where they remembered the past.
Spokeswoman Carol Katte said the group had been through the highs and lows of life and looked forward to catching up.
“Every three months we have a get together and if it’s anyone’s birthday we bring along a cake,” she said.
