Another of Maitland’s wildly successful fresh produce markets will be held in the city centre this week, with a range of tasty locally-grown treats available.
Slow Food Hunter Valley will host the event in The Levee, Central Maitland, between 3pm and 7pm on Thursday.
It marks the return of the event for 2017, which built a strong following in the year since its inception.
The market will be held fortnightly – on the first and third Thursday of each month – and will include five stalls, featuring 10 Lower Hunter producers.
There will be eggs, meat, honey and a range of fruit and vegetables.
“Pack those shopping bags into your car and bring your rolling cart if you have one,” Slow Food Hunter Valley posted to social media this week.
“We've got fresh local fruits and veggies for you and you can talk to the people who produce them.”
The market stalls will be in The Levee shared zone, spread between Miller’s Fashion and Image Hair and Skin Clinic.
